Raiders and Rabbitohs set to lose
skippers to suspension

Canberra and South Sydney will lose their captains to suspension for at least one week unless they successfully fight high tackle charges at the National Rugby League judiciary on Wednesday night.

Raiders skipper Simon Woolford and Rabbitohs captain Bryan Fletcher will risk copping two-match suspensions if they decide to contest the charges. Woolford has been charged with a grade three offence for his high tackle on Manly five-eighth Luke Williamson in the Raiders' 51-16 victory at Brookvale Oval yesterday.

Fletcher has been charged with a grade two offence following his high tackle on Wests Tigers forward Trent Clayton in the Rabbitohs' 18-16 victory at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday night. Fletcher's teammate Jason Death and North Queensland prop Paul Rauhihi can both escape suspension if they enter early guilty pleas to grade one careless high tackle charges from weekend matches.
