Raiders victors in record score over Broncos

A crowd of just over 10,000 have witnessed The Canberra Raiders giving the visiting Brisbane Broncos a good old fashioned hiding tonight at Canberra Stadium by 56-0.

Many must've have wondered where has this team been all year as almost everything they touched or did, seemed to come off with ease and at times, finesse.

The scoring for the Green Machine started early, in the 3rd minute, with Monaghan crossing over with ease for the first of his 2 tries, and alarm bells over the Broncos defence should've been ringing loud and clear.

2 more tries in the first half for the Raiders saw them heading to the sheds at the break with a healthy 16-0 lead.

The Raiders came out from the break with all guns a-blazing, and carved up any type of defence by the Broncos at will, Graham out on a mission, scoring 3 of his 4 tries in the 10 minutes before and after the break.

A comprehensive victory to the Raiders, and who know what the next few rounds may bring for this relatively young side.

As for the Broncos, a major shake up is necessary if they are to finish season 2009 with dignity. Tonight's loss will also go down in history as their biggest in the club's 22 years in the top grade.
