Rain will help big Maroons
forwards: Gould

New South Wales coach Phil Gould says rain in Sydney today is likely to help the bigger Queensland forwards in tonight's second match of the rugby league State of Origin series.

He believes his Blues team will adjust well to the expected slippery conditions at Telstra Stadium as they seek to clinch a series victory. But the wet should assist the bigger Maroons forwards - men like Shane Webcke and Petero Civoniceva -allowing them to be more prominent than they were in the first game in Brisbane two weeks ago.

He has also told radio station 2KY he expects most of the tries in the match to come from close range or possibly kicks.
