Redcliffe vs Easts Preview

Dolphin Oval, Sunday June 18, 3.00pm Referee: Michael Wise

THE STORY: This match shapes like an immunity challenge on Survivor. One side is clinging to the competition lead by a slender margin. The other one hangs on to fifth spot via a tenuous thread. Who can hold through the pain to keep their spot? Both teams are coming off good wins, although Redcliffe has shown far more consistent form over the course of the year.

THE STAT: Easts has actually won three of the last five encounters against Redcliffe and pulled off a big 44-24 win at formidable Dolphin Oval in 2004. Mind you, when the two teams met at the same ground in 2005 the score was 42-28 to Redcliffe. In Round 4 of this season the Dolphins ran out comfortable winners at Langlands Park, despite a testing first half.

THE STAR: Michael Roberts tore the Tigers to shreds from hooker earlier this year. Now he will revert to his old role of halfback for the Dolphins. With the XXXX City side announced on Sunday evening, another strong effort would put him on the path to a Queensland Residents jumper.
