Redcliffe vs Ipswich preview

REDCLIFFE v IPSWICH
Dolphin Oval, Sunday June 4, 3.00pm
Referee: Phil Haines

THE STORY:
It may be first versus last on the ladder, but Redcliffe is struggling with injuries to key men and was a last-up loser to Tweed Heads. Under-fire Ipswich has also experienced injury woes and will use its fourth hooker in its past six games, debutant Geoff Holcombe.

THE STAT:
Ex-Ipswich boy Alwyn Simpson has played in all 10 games for Redcliffe this season after returning north from Balmain. He?s kept his nose in front of well-credentialed clubmates such as Mark Christensen, Adam Fletcher, Chris Giumelli.

THE STAR:
Troy Lindsay will play for the Dolphins despite pleading guilty to a careless high tackle. He is one of five players remaining from the Redcliffe side which beat Ipswich 34-10 in the 2002 grand final. Playing for the Dolphins that day were David Stagg, Shane Perry, Shane Tronc and Barry Berrigan.
