The mighty Mangere East Hawks drew with neighbours, Manurewa Marlins, 26 apiece in a thriller. Papakura Sea Eagles gave the boys from across the bridge, ECB Barracudas a touch up 41-28.

In Sharman Cup action, the Howick Hornets were too good for Marist Saints and in Phelan Shield a fired up Tigers outfit just held out a determined Hibiscus Coast Raiders team, 26-23.
