Reynolds out for the year

In a devastating blow to their already flagging prospects, the Wests Tigers have lost halfback Ben Reynolds for the rest of the National Rugby League season with a double leg fracture.

The news couldn't get much worse for the crafty halfback, with scans confirming a broken tibia and ankle, as well ligament damage to the ankle.

All the damage took place in the first half of Wests' come from behind win over the Sea Eagles in front of a good crowd at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday.

At least Reynolds will have some company though, sitting next to fellow luckless Tiger Robert Miles on the couch at home after a knee injury ended the wingers' prospects in round five.

A few people out in Tiger territory will be hoping Benji Marshall recovers from his dislocated shoulder soon enough to put some starch back into the halves.
