Ricky Stuart will likely today announce his resignation that will see him leave the embattled Cronulla Sharks club at the end of the season, despite being contracted with the Sharks until the end of the 2011 season.
The former Australian Test and Origin coach has allegedly been in negotiations with Sharks management about his future at the club for several weeks - on the back of a tumultuous few seasons for the club, both on and off the field.
It is believed current assistant coach Shane Flanaghan will replace Stuart for the 2011 season.
The Cronulla Sharks have announced a press conference at midday to confirm Stuart's decision.
