Robbo Reckons

First off I hope everybody has a good Christmas and new year. And if anyone is struggling with Christmas present ideas just pop out and see the Keystar team a new car would make a great present.
The boys are back in training under the guidance of Serjeant Major Tony Guilfoyle who is really giving the boys a hiding, I was almost sick and I was just watching. Terry Webb even joined in the ?fun? taking part in the conditioning session and for all you who know Spider he had the perfect preparation a dart, but he still beat some guys 25 years younger home. He even asked CEO James Hinchey if he wanted to sign him up to play.
There are a few new faces at the moment but the back row looks especially strong with the addition of Richie Russell from Port Macquarie and the return of Mark Shipway from the Salford Reds on top the class back rowers we already have it should be a red hot challenge for a top grade spot.
If you attended the first training session you could have been excused for thinking you were in a time warp and thinking it was 1981 running beside each other were some famous names at Dolphin Oval Obst, Jones, Webb and Benson but before you think James Hinchey has gone nuts and signed up Tony Obst, Bob Jones, Terry Webb and Trevor Benson it was their sons Sam, Terry, Jack and Tim. And no before you ask Sam Obst isn?t returning to Dolphin Oval (Yet) he is just training with the boys for a few weeks before he heads back to his club in England Wakefield Wildcats.
Another new player to Dolphin Oval is former Melbourne Storm half back Marty Turner who joins the Dolphins from the Oldham Roughyeds I hope that is Roughyeds and not Rough Heads. Another player looking good is Matty Gruszka who powered his way through the first few sessions after dropping a few kilos in the break.
Once again it was old men Adam Starr and Troy Lindsay who led the way in the runs. Cow who is claiming only to be 30 for the third year in a row is set to become the most capped Dolphin of all time next year he sits on 247 first grade games now and is closing in on Peter Leis record of 261 games. And don?t dare mention the R word (Retirement) to Cow he says he has at least two good years left in him. I tell you he?s a freak.
Most of the players returned in pretty good shape but there were a couple who looked they enjoyed their break a little too much which had Tony Guilfoyle salivating at the cruel punishment he could hand out, let me tell you that man is a sadist.
But after casting my eye over the squad I reckon the Dolphins will be in for a good year and after last years finish there are a lot of players looking to go one step further.

Until Next Month
Cheers Robbo
Merry Christmas
