The Roosters have racked up their third win of the season putting away a sloppy Sharks outfit 40-20.
The match started off with a bang with a sharp attacking move resulting in the Roosters Brett Finch scoring under the posts. Fitzgibbon added the extra two and the Roosters were up 6-0 with just two minutes on the clock.
The Sharks hit back quickly as Greg Bird reached out to place the ball on the line.
The action continued but it was all one way as the Roosters stretched out with 3 tries to put them up 24-4 at halftime.
The second half didn't get much better for the Sharks. When Byrne bagged his hatrick in the 63rd minute the Roosters were home and hosed at 40-10.
The Sharks scored two late tries but they were merely a consolation in a bleak performance.
In conclusion the Sharks were always on the back foot with a constant stream of errors resulting in a poor competition rate and giving the Roosters the main share of possession. The Roosters just simply capitalised on the advantage that was given to them.
