The lineups for this Saturday afternoon's big local derby (Brad Fittler's 300th Game) have been named, with the Roosters making some surprise selections.
The Roosters side is nowhere near as strong as the sides named in previous weeks.
Missing from the 17 is Justin Hodges, Chris Flannery, Craig Fitzgibbon and Peter Cusack all due to injury.
Michael Crocker was also omitted from the team due to an injured ankle sustained during a charity touch football day on Monday. Crocker was lending a helping hand to the Ted Noffs foundation (as were the rest of the Roosters team), and injured his ankle during a match. It is unknown at this stage how long Crocker will be out for.
Brett Finch is a surprise selection at halfback. Originally the club had anticipated his knee injury would keep him out for between 2 and 4 weeks.
Souths have their own injury worry with former Rooster Bryan Fletcher hoping to return to First Grade this Saturday. They have named a 5 man bench just in case Fletcher is ruled out.
