Round 2 Team of the Week

Fullback - B Slater (Storm) Second week in a row for Billy and what else can be said. He carved up the Dragons and looks in great touch early.

Wing - L MacDougall (Rabbitohs) Big effort for Mad Dog jnr. Scored three tries and set the tone for a great Rabbitohs win.

Centre - J Hannay (Cowboys) Scored a try and booted 4 goals in a stirring victory for the Cowboys.

Centre - R Cross (Roosters) Bagged a double and defended well for the Roosters in their win over arch rivals Penrith.

Wing - M King (Storm) I'll have to stick him on the wing here, but played strongly. Got amongst the tries and enjoyed smoking the Dragons.

Five-eighth - M Monaghan (Sea Eagles) He can play 5/8 right? One way or another he needs to be in team of the week after steering the Sea Eagles around the park and piled on a hat trick.

Halfback - M Orford (Storm) Here he is for the second week in a row and it's absolutely no surprise to see him leading the LU Player of the Year Awards with maximum points. Absolutely dynamic and he's always looking for opportunities on the park.

Lock - A Harrison (Rabbitohs) Did a lot of work tackling and taking the ball up and was gifted a meat pie for his efforts. Looking solid for the Bunnies.

Second row - A Watmough (Sea Eagles) Got a double out at Brooky and also ploughed through plenty of hard yards. He's an important part of the forwards.

Second row - C Flannery (Roosters) I know he had number six on his back, but I prefer him here this week. Held the team together well and was strong throughout.

Prop - C Webb (Cowboys) Oh boy what a try! A memorable night for Webby and he looks very much at home up in Nth Qld. Not sure that I'd adopt the same haircut, but it probably added to the fear factor for Luke Patten. Imagine watching this big unit come hurtling towards you!

Hooker - S Woolford (Raiders) Played himself to a standstill. Woolford could be the forgotten man in Canberra, but he's still got plenty to offer.

Prop - R Wiki (Warriors) I'm happy to be putting Ruben's name here this week after a rousing performance, assisting his new team to their first win of the Season. Hopefully it will begin a trend over in Auckland.

Interchange:C Wing (Roosters), M Bowen (Cowboys), L Withers (Raiders), S Jones (Warriors).

Very small but lively bench here, not sure how they'd all go, but they certainly deserve a spot for putting in good performances. Craig Wing still can't crack a starting position though.
