Round 3 Team of the Week.

It was a week for backs, in particular our custodians in the competition, who have been shifted around to accommodate each other's good form. Not much up front, but this side oozes creativity.

Fullback - C Schifcofske (Raiders) A pivotal effort from the frisky fullback, scoring a try, kicking two goals and a field goal. He was very solid at the back.

Wing - R Wesser (Panthers) I had to stick him on the wing here, although he had a good game capped off with a brilliant solo try. Pressed his claims for Origin.

Centre - B Tate (Broncos) A bustling display here by Tate, bagging a double and getting involved in plenty of work. Looks good for the Anzac Test.

Centre - M Geyer (Storm) Threw him in the centres here after a weekend where wingers shone. Geyer is a player who is always doing work and rarely takes credit.

Wing - M Bowen (Cowboys) I'm sure he can handle the wing here, with another chirpy game from the northern sensation. He really ignites the Cowboys backline.

Five-eighth - P Campbell (Panthers) Freakish as always and hard to contain. Scored a try, put one on and kicked a few goals just for good measure.

Halfback - S Prince (Tigers) Prince was the difference for the Tigers, scoring two meat pies and kicking the decisive field goal. He's beginning to recapture his form from last year.

Lock - D Stagg (Broncos) A bit of an unknown quantity, but I'm sure the Roosters are very familiar with him now. Showed plenty of skill and backed up for a well-deserved four pointer.

Second-row - P Gallen (Sharks) Got amongst the rough stuff and really held the Sharks in there, shouldering much of the work with Nutley and Stevens out.

Second-row - A Watmough (Sea Eagles) He's a good player and proved himself against quality opposition in the Storm. Loves to run hard.

Prop - S B Williams (Bulldogs) We'll have to stick him in the front row this week, with a shortage of props, but I'm sure he'll be able to handle it. Solid and skilled as always.

Hooker - S Walker (Rabbitohs) He was in everything this week, showing class and smarts in a narrow and sometimes controversial loss to the Raiders.

Prop - K Kahler (Raiders) Another back-row convert this week. Runs hard and makes plenty of tackles for his team.

A creative bench with a bit of everything. No forwards really to speak of and I think Jason Smith is a little hard done by this week, but our LU scorers didn't favour him in the standings.

Interchange: J Thurston (Cowboys), B Anasta (Bulldogs), D Peachey (Sharks), M Monaghan (Sea Eagles).
