Round 4 Team of the Week

This week we've got a great Team - Well rounded in the backs with an excellent kicker, potent attack and great pace with two halves that are outstanding at the moment. Then there's the forward pack who are firing on all cylinders and a clever hooker to boot.

This is by far League Unlimited's BEST Team of the Week so far this season.

Fullback - C Schifcofske (Raiders) Backs up last week with more outstanding form and finds himself as the LU Team of the Week custodian for the second week in a row. Putting out a clear message to Maroon selectors as well.

Wing - M Sing (Cowboys) Dead set, how good did he play at the weekend? Last year saw the best form of his career and he's quickly measuring up to that again this season.

Centre - N Vagana (Sharks) Turned out a stellar performance against his former club, scoring a try and looking dangerous every time he had the ball.

Centre - M King (Storm) Continues to impress everyone by taking his game to new levels almost on a weekly basis. Big, fast and strong - King has all the ingredients to trouble any backline and did his part with two great tries on the weekend.

Wing - T Byrne (Warriors) He's just edged out Hannay here, but I thought he was outstanding. Seems to be quicker and gives the Warriors some great experience and a cool head when needed.

Five-eighth - A Dykes (Sharks) I bet he's glad to be back home. Dykesy sure plays well in the Shire and he's loving a quality partner in Brett Kimmorley. Bagged a try and played well all-round.

Halfback - S Jones (Warriors) How good is he? Played some vintage footy against the Rabbitohs and that victory may well be the catalyst for the Warriors to mount a genuine challenge to this year's premiership.

Lock - K Kahler (Raiders) I'm impressed by this guy, and it's his second time starting in the LU Team of the Week. He tackles hard, takes it up hard and seems to pinch a try every now and then.

Second-row - N Hindmarsh (Eels) Back to some great form for the burly back-rower. Good to see him amongst the hit-ups and tackles, he's earned his spot here.

Second-row - R Hoffman (Storm) Another surprise from the southern club. Big, talented and mobile, he really takes on the defence. Scored an honest try as well.

Prop - J Cayless (Roosters) Played hard in a beaten side and got plenty of marks next to tackles and hit-ups column. He'll be leading the charge for the Kiwi's in the Anzac Day Test.

Hooker - PJ Marsh (Eels) Crafty and quick, he hit back with a vengeance in Friday's match against the Panthers. Bagged a double and must surely come back into consideration for the Maroons.

Prop - M O'Neill (Tigers) He had a bottler on the weekend and although he's more accustomed to the back-row, I reckon he can handle the rough stuff up front. It's great to see a Tiger in the team.

We've got a great bench here. The Peach had a great game and can slot in and float about at the back. Morrison is very effective in the back row and Hannay deserves to be there through some great form over the weekend and unlucky to miss a starting spot. Then you've got pocket-rocket Withers who you just wind up and let him explode on the opposition.

Interchange: D Peachey (Sharks), G Morrison (Eels), J Hannay (Cowboys), L Withers (Raiders).
