Schofield: Britain have no chance!

Former Great Britain Lions captain, Garry Schofield has said the 2003 team has no chance of ending the drought and stealing ?The Ashes? off the touring Australian Kangaroos outfit.

Schofield who played 46 tests for Great Britain feels the Lions will be lucky not to lose the series 3 ? 0 to the Australian?s telling AAP that the Kangaroos will be spurred on by the fact they haven?t lost the series to the Lions in other 30 years.

"I think what's important for these Kangaroos is that they don't want to go home as the first team in 30 years to get the Ashes taken away,? Schofield said.

"They're nicely cut for the Ashes series. I think Chris Anderson has got their psyche spot-on.

"They're going about things quietly. I think they're going to win the Ashes series. It wouldn't surprise me if they won it 3-0."

Australia is fielding a vastly inexperienced side, with injuries keeping a number of regulars off the Tour, but Schofield expects the youngsters to acquit themselves well.

"I was playing at 18, so was Joe Lydon and Lee Crooks. If you're good enough, you're old enough. It didn't do me any harm.

"It's a great learning curve."
