Scotland claim ninth World Cup spot

Scotland claimed the ninth place in the 2008 World Cup despite losing a last group match in Glasgow.

Wales won 18-16 but it wasn't enough to overturn a seven-point deficit from the first game enabling the Scots to win on aggregate 37-32.

The Welsh must now win the repechage to claim the 10th and final place in Australia.

They take on Lebanon next weekend with Samoa or United States awaiting the winners on Wednesday week. England and Ireland are through to the main draw.
