Shipway Returns to Dolphin Oval

After nine seasons away in the NRL and English Superleague competitions Mark Shipway returns to where his senior career began in the Queensland Cup with the Redcliffe Dolphins.
Shipway a centre in the 1996 Dolphins side that made the inaugural Queensland Cup grand final returns as a hard hitting second rower adding to the already powerful Dolphins pack.
Also joining the Dolphins for season 2006 are Rorey Bromley a speedy outside back who was a member of the Young Guns premiership winning side this year, Casey Bromilow a five-eighth from the Hills Districts club who has tasted Queensland Cup action with Brothers-Valleys.
The Dolphins have also been securing the talent they already have on the books with Mark Christensen, Terry Jones, Daniel Jones, this seasons forward of the year Nick Walker, Brad Massey a solid preformer for the colts this year, and Bunny Pearce trophy winner Mitchell Simpson agreeing to terms.
Tha Dolphins have also signed a group of talented youngsters Australian junior representative Dane Hogan, this seasons Colts forward of the year Foisa Peni, Dion Porteous, Matt Lennon and from the Norths premiership winning colts side Tim Benson. The older Dolphin fans will remember Tim's father Trevor a legend of the club who played 237 first grade for the Dolphins between 1980 and 1992.

Also with Ian Graham and his family moving to Tweed Heads the club is pleased to announce that Grant Cleal will take on the A Grade coaching role. Another former Dolphin Andrew Wynyard will be assisting Craig Ingebrigtsen with colts.

CEO James Hinchey said "We are still on the look out for a few players in certain positions, but we are pretty happy where we are at". "Both the players and coaches know there is a lot of hard work to be done, the comp is getting stronger each year and we want to be right up there come September" he said.
