Southern Men make it big up north

Former NRL players are making their mark in the try-scoring charts in the English Super League. Of the current top 10, only four players are locals - Hull FC's Kirk Yeaman, Danny McGuire (Leeds), Ade Gardner (St Helens) and Richard Horne (Hull FC). Yeaman with 21 tries and McGuire with 20 lead but six Australasian players - three of them from New Zealand - are making a big impact. Former Vodafone Warriors winger Henry Fa'afili ranks third equal with 17 tries for his side Warrington while another ex-Warrior Shontayne Hape (Bradford Bulls) is eighth with 13 and New Zealand-born ex-Wests Tigers centre Gray Viane (Castleford Tigers) is ninth equal with 12. Also featuring is former Vodafone Warriors winger Justin Murphy, the Australian having 17 tries for new club Les Catalans.
