Souths deny offloading Stuart, re-sign Lowe

South Sydney have re-signed prop Jaiman Lowe for two more years while rejecting reports they are looking to offload second-rower Luke Stuart.

Lowe, who's suspended until next weekend after punching Gold Coast's Brett Delaney, will be a Rabbitohs until the end of the 2009 season.

The Rabbitohs have also signed Lowe's younger brother Ben from the North Queensland Cowboys for the remainder of 2007 and 2008. And amid speculation the club's salary cap is being squeezed by the return of Craig Wing next year, the Rabbitohs have released a statement saying Stuart has been offered a deal.
