Souths grind out tough win against Titans

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have defeated the Gold Coast Titans 20-14 in a rugged encounter at Telstra Stadium.

Souths jumped out of the gates early with two early tries but it was the Gold Coast who came back, against the run of play to take the lead 10-8 at the break.

In the second half it was the Gold Coast who scored first, taking the lead 14-8 and at that point in the match it looed as though the Gold Coast would put Souths to sword and get their finals campaign back on track.

The Titans had four consecutive sets of six on the Bunnies line but Souths defence was rock solid and slowly the Bunnies started to climb back into the match, with Nigel Vagana scoring to level the scores and with just three minutes remaining, Ben Rogers hoisted a great bomb and the Titans didn Like
