Stevens changes plea, Cross holds
firm

Cronulla prop Jason Stevens will miss this weekend's NRL clash with North Queensland after reversing his initial not guilty plea to a knee lifting charge.

Stevens had been due to face the NRL judiciary tonight to fight the grade one contrary conduct charge.

But after reviewing the case this morning, Cronulla's legal counsel has elected to plead guilty and accept the one-match suspension.

Canberra forward Ben Cross will appear at the judiciary tonight to contest a grade one careless high tackle charge.
