Storm deny knowledge of fresh
allegations

The Melbourne Storm have denied any knowledge of fresh sexual assault allegations against players reported in today?s edition of The Bulletin magazine.

Controversy erupted earlier this month after it was revealed the Storm had failed to tell the NRL about assault allegations against two of their players despite knowing about it for several weeks. The incident led to the departure of long-time CEO John Ribot.

On this occasion, however, the Storm say they know nothing about fresh allegations against players.

The Bulletin, released today, reports that the Storm is facing a separate police inquiry into further sexual assault claims.

?It is understood a complaint about an alleged separate incident involving another player has been made to a suburban police station in the past five weeks,? the Bulletin claims.

The extensive article reports that Police have refused to comment over the claim and that no charged have yet been laid.

The latest rugby league controversy comes after Sydney?s The Daily Telegraph reported today that a high profile Bulldogs player tested positive to cocaine late last year and was fined $25,000.

It?s understood the Bulldogs didn?t tell the NRL about the positive test, which they are within their rights to do.

The Storm are understood to be holding their own inquiries following this morning?s reports.
