Storm do it in style against
Souths

Fulltime score: Round 16 Melbourne Storm 48 South Sydney Rabbitohs 6

Match summary:

The Melbourne Storm have run out convincing 48-6 winners over the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Olympic Park this evening.

Melbourne did their best to keep pace with the clock in the opening forty minutes, holding a commanding 32-0 lead at half time. The second half moved a little slower with Melbourne first to score, while it took the Bunnies 57 minutes to get their first try thanks to Ashley Harrison. Glen Turner scored in the 62nd min to rub more salt into Souths wound.

The result is a negative for the Bunnies on many fronts. It may be a crucial factor in the decision of players looking to move to Redfern next year, including Storm players Matt Orford and Steven Bell

Billy Slater was the star this evening, bagging a hat trick of tries to keep up his amazing tally but in light of Slater?s efforts, Souths were extremely disappointing after showing glimpses of what they are capable of over the past three weeks.
