Taylor tries to cool on-field expectations

Incoming South Sydney coach Jason Taylor says there is still plenty of work to be done at the Rabbitohs as he attempted to hose down the club's expectations for 2007.

Taylor says it is important the fans don't expect miracles next season despite the signing of several big-name players including Roy Asotasi, David Kidwell and Nigel Vagana. Taylor warned that it could take some time for the new recruits to gel with the side and refused to make any predictions as to where the club will finish on the ladder next year.

The Rabbitohs held a gathering yesterday to mark 100 days since Peter Holmes A Court and Russell Crowe took control of the battlers.
