Ten facts about the Grand Final

Hull FC take on St Helens at Old Trafford in Saturday's engage Super League Grand Final with a number of records set to be made or broken.

1. St Helens have never lost in a Grand Final, having triumphed in 1999, 2000 and 2002.

2. Hull are making their Grand Final debut but made three Premiership final appearances at Old Trafford from 1989-97, winning just one.

3. Jason Cayless (St Helens) and Richard Swain (Hull) are aiming to join the elite band of players who have been Grand Final winners in England and Australia. Cayless was in the Sydney Roosters side that beat New Zealand Warriors in 2002 while Swain helped Melbourne Storm overcome St George Illawarra in 1999. One of them will become the 10th player to complete the double.

4. Four St Helens players - Keiron Cunningham, Sean Long, Paul Wellens and Leon Pryce - are hoping to win the Grand Final for a record fourth time, while a fifth, Paul Anderson, will be making a record-equalling sixth appearance.

5. Hull?s only players with Super League Grand Final experience are Lee Radford, who was a winner with Bradford Bulls in 2003 and 2005 and a loser in 2004 and Chris Chester, who lost with Wigan Warriors in 2000 and 2001.

6. St Helens stand-off Leon Pryce has a chance to become the first player to lift the Harry Sunderland Trophy with two different clubs after winning it with Bradford last year.

7. St Helens scrum-half Sean Long could become the first player to win the Harry Sunderland Trophy and the Lance Todd Trophy (as man of the match in the Challenge Cup final) in the same season.

8. Paul Anderson, who is a fortnight away from his 35th birthday, is the only player able to displace Bradford?s Bob Haigh as the oldest man to win the Harry Sunderland Trophy. Haigh was 34 years and 190 days when he won it in the 1978 Premiership final.

9. Bradford full-back Michael Withers is the only player currently to have scored a hat-trick of tries in a Grand Final. Team-mate Paul Deacon holds the record for most goals with seven and most points with 13.

10. Old Trafford?s increased capacity will ensure a record Grand Final crowd, surpassing the 65,537 sell-out attendances for each of the last three years.
