Terry O'Connor's Testimonial game
moved to Orrell

Terry O'Connor's Testimonial game Wigan Warriors versus London Broncos this Sunday 8th February has been moved from the JJB Stadium to Orrell Rugby Club, Edge Hall Road, Orrell and will now have a 2.00pm Kick Off.

This is due to the JJB pitch being currently underwater. The decision to change venues is intended to give supporters early notice of the change.

Due to the capacity the game has now been made ALL TICKET with fans advised wherever possible to buy in advance. Anyone who has already purchased tickets for the JJB Stadium will be able to use the same tickets at Edge Hall Road on the day.

Club Chairman Maurice Lindsay said,

"We have tried everything we can to get the pitch ready for Sunday but we have had unrelenting rain which has rendered the pitch unplayable. To ensure that the game goes ahead we have taken a joint decision with Terry O' Connor to play at Orrell."

Terry O Connor said,

"Whilst it is unfortunate that we cannot play at the JJB Stadium I fully agree with the need to move venues. The pitch is flooded at the moment and we do not want to take the chance of losing the fixture altogether come Sunday. The Orrell ground is only a few minutes away from the JJB Stadium and I hope everyone will still support me for my Testimonial game."

The Wigan club have made special arrangements for the sale of tickets as the game will now have to be all ticket match. The Ticket Office will remain open until 7pm on Thursday and Friday. It will then be open 10am till 4pm on Saturday and 10am till 12pm on Sunday.

The Ticket Office hotline number for supporters to buy tickets is 0870 11 22 552.
