Match Summary:

The Tigers have come away away with a strong performance in the second half to defeat the Sharks 22-10 at Toyota Park.

The Tigers got off to a great start when Hodgson put Galea into score and give the Tigers a 6-0 lead after 5 minutes. The Tigers had all the possession in the first 15 but couldn't post further points as the Sharks started to get the ball in better field position.

The Sharks hit back in the 28th minute when Kingston scored on the back of some good lead up work to level the scores. The Sharks soon hit the lead through a penalty goal to Covell and they held an 8-6 lead at halftime.

The Tigers came out playing attacking football in the second half and they hit back to take the lead when Elford took the high ball to score in the 54th minute . From the kick off the Tigers kept the ball alive to Fitzhenry who scored an amazing try after beating severeal defenders to give the Tigers a 16-8 lead.

The Sharks kicked a penalty goal to reduce the lead to a converted try but the Tigers soon crossed again to put the match out of reach with a try to Dean Collis. The Sharks never looked likely in the last 10 minutes as the Tigers held on for a strong win.

Brett Hodgson and Keith Galloway both had strong games and were best for the Tigers. Next week the Tigers travel to the nations capital to take on the Raiders whilst the Sharks travel to Aussie Stadium to tackle the Roosters.
