Tigers tame ordinary Bunnies

The Wests Tigers have ended the Rabbitohs run with a 36-12 victory at ANZ Stadium in Sydney this afternoon.

In front of a crowd of 21,818, the Tigers spent the early period of the game on attack, and were rewarded with Taniela Tuiaki scoring in the ninth minute. The Rabbitohs responded quickly with Tim Moltzen being sin binned following Chris Sandow break. The Rabbitohs levelled the scores with a try to Jamie Simpson.

For the majority of the half the Rabbitohs were the team threatening to score. However, the Tigers would take the lead into half time with Beau Ryan scoring just before the break.

It didn't take long in the second half for the Tigers to kick ahead to a 20-6 lead, Lawrence and Farah scoring inside the first 10 minutes of the half.

The Rabbitohs looked as though they could mount a comeback, with Asotasi bringing the score back to 20-12.

Ultimately the Tigers kicked on in the last 12 minutes, with Beau Ryan, Chris Lawrence and Taniela Tuiaki collecting a double each.
