Titans skipper ruled out with broken thumb

Jetstar Gold Coast Titans captain Scott Prince has been ruled out for between three and six weeks after suffering a broken thumb in Saturday night's 24-4 win over the Raiders at Skilled Park.

The Jetstar Titans halfback suffered the injury in the first half against the Raiders but in a brave effort was able to finish the match.

However, results of scans today confirmed he has suffered a broken thumb.

Prince is expected to have a screw inserted to repair his injured thumb either today or tomorrow.

Jetstar Titans Head Coach John Cartwright said despite the loss of Prince, the club was in a strong position to handle his absence - having beaten premiers Melbourne in Melbourne this time last year without their star playmaker.
