Titans topple determined Rabbitohs

A tough battle was predicted at Skilled Park this afternoon between the Titans and the Rabbitohs, and no one was disappointed with the home side coming away the victors in the end by 22-14.

The defence of the two sides was outstanding and very busy. After the early settling period, both side knuckled down for a tit for tat battle that lasted until the final minutes of the match.

The Rabbitohs went into the break with a narrow lead of 8-6 after a try apiece in the first 40 minutes.

The second half attack belonged to the Titans as they continuously battered their line only to be, on many occasions, kept from scoring by outstanding Rabbitohs defence. However the weary visitors allowed two tries to be scored in the last 10 minutes of the half, and ultimately the match.

The return of Bailey and Rogers to the Titans line-up definitely has the desired effect as the both were busy throughout their time on the field.
