Titans triumph over scratchy Storm

The Gold Coast Titans have produced one of the big upsets of the 2009 NRL season with an 18-6 victory over the Melbourne Storm at Olympic Park to move into first spot on the NRL ladder pending other weekend results.

The Titans arrived in Melbourne as rank outsiders without their key playmaker and co-captain Scott Prince but produced a very disciplined and professional performance to hold the defending Minor Premiers to a record-equalling low score in front of their own fans.
