Tony Grimaldi had re-signed with the Bulldogs for the 2006 season.

The Mitsubishi Electric Bulldogs announced today that Tony Grimaldi had re-signed with the Club for the 2006 season.

Grimaldi, 30, was one of the Bulldogs most consistent players during the 2005 season and one of only four to play every NRL game, plus the World Club Challenge, this year.

Grimaldi?s tireless performance throughout the year saw him finish the season as the top tackler in the NRL with a total of 852 tackles at an average of 35.5 per game.

Commenting on the signing of Grimaldi, Bulldogs coach Steve Folkes said, ?We were keen for Tony to stick around for another year. His experience and the commitment he shows to training and playing is invaluable.?

Grimaldi said, ?2006 will probably be my last year and I wanted to finish my playing career with the Bulldogs.?

2006 will see Grimaldi play his eighth season for the Bulldogs.
