Parramatta 16, St George 10

St George Illawarra were valiant but not good enough to defeat the 7th placed Parramatta Eels. Two early tries put Parramatta on the front foot but St George fought their way back, before excitement machine, Marmin Barba scored to hand Parramatta the win.

Cronulla 22, Brisbane 18

Cronulla have kept the pressure on the top four on the ladder, discarding another challenger in the Broncos. Over the last few weeks, the Toyota Cup side has lost stars to first grade but a double to Tyrone Peachy in a four try blitz in the first half sealed it for the Sharks.

Gold Coast 11, Penrith 10

After being anchored to the bottom of the ladder for most of the season, Gold Coast have finally left the dungeon. It was the Jordan Rankin show for the Gold Coast Titans, as he celebrated becoming the most capped player in the Toyota Cup, with two tries and a field goal in the low scoring win.

Canterbury-Bankstown 50, Manly 6

The Bulldogs endured a tough open ten minutes to just demolish a Manly side who now take the unwanted pole position for the wooden spoon. Doubles to Lafai and Ahafono plus tries to five others brought up the half century for the third placed Canterbury side.

New Zealand 50, Sydney 10

Well, what else can you say about the Warriors. The juggernaut just continues to roll on, this time the victim was the Roosters. Ben Henry was a highlight, completing a hat-trick just after halftime in the 43rd minute. They hold first position on for and against over Melbourne who also won this weekend and are the two top teams currently.

North Queensland 20, Canberra 18

North Queensland have broken their drought in Canberra, with a 72nd minute try by Wayne Ulugia sealing the victory. It was a tight contest in the first half, with only one try but it exploded in the second half, with five tries.

Melbourne 40, South Sydney 16

It was a six try romp in the first half which sealed the win for the Melbourne Storm. They weathered the second half fight back from Souths to hold onto second position. Young Tonumaipea scored a hat-trick within the first half was a highlight.

Newcastle 26, Wests 18

Newcastle have completed, a boil over in Leichhardt tonight. Chris Knight scored late in the piece to extend the Knights lead to eight points which was ultimately good enough for the win. David Nofoaluma was valiant in a losing effort, scoring a brace.
