Tri-Nations: Maitua, Mason & Graham

Australia utility Reni Maitua has been ruled out of the Tri-Nations series with an ankle injury. Scans have revealed a distal syndesmosis injury in the Bulldogs? right ankle, ruling him out of all remaining games in the series against New Zealand and Great Britain.

Willie Mason has been cleared of injury and will be available for selection for Saturday's match against New Zealand at Telstra Dome.

Elsewhere, Great Britain has suffered a blow to its Tri-Nations campaign with Super League young player of the year James Graham ruled out of the tournament with an arm injury.

The 21-year-old suffered the injury playing for St Helens in the Saints 26-4 victory over Hull in the Super League grand final at the weekend. Graham's misfortune could mean a call up for Warrington's Paul Wood.

Great Britain play its first match of the tournament against defending champions New Zealand in Christchurch on October 28.
