2007 NRL results and the Leagueunlimited.com Player Awards

ROUND FIVE of the NRL kicked off in Penrith with the Parramatta Eels triumphing over the Panthers by 27-14. The match was highlighted by a classy man-of-the-match effort from full back Luke Burt and a one-pointer coming from Ian Hindmarsh, the forward slotting a field goal off his left boot in the 71st minute.

Meanwhile at old Lang Park, the Brisbane Broncos were being handed a football lesson by little brother the Gold Coast Titans. After leading 12-6 at half time, the Titans dazzled the near capacity crowd of 47,686 people in extending their lead in the second half, the match seemingly won and lost with 20 minutes to go. With half back Scott Prince directing proceedings, the NRL newcomers eventually ran out convincing winners to the tune of 28-16.
