Utai and Newton outed for one match, Scott free

Bulldogs winger Matt Utai will miss just one NRL match after successfully having a high tackle charge downgraded at the judiciary last night.

Facing a three-match suspension, Utai will now only miss tomorrow night's away match against Parramatta after his grade four charge was reduced to a grade three.

Newcastle second-rower Clint Newton has been ruled out of Sunday's clash with Manly at EnergyAustralia Stadium after failing to have a dangerous throw charge quashed.

Cronulla rookie centre Beau Scott is free to play against the Sydney Roosters at Aussie Stadium on Saturday night after beating a grade two contrary conduct charge.
