Vagana commits to Bulls until 2006

The UK?s most successful Rugby club, Bradford Bulls, have received a major boost ahead of the Play Off?s with the news that Kiwi Prop Forward Joe Vagana has signed a new two year contract and will remain at Odsal until the end of the 2006 Super League season.

Vagana, who is 29, has made 124 appearances for the Bulls since joining them from the New Zealand Warriors at the start of the 2001 season and has missed only 7 games in his four years at the club.

Vagana is happy to be staying at Odsal:

"It's awesome to be staying. The bunch of guys we have here are great and the coaching staff are first-class. It's a winning team - we know how to win and we win trophies, so I'm delighted to be staying. I always knew I wanted to stay here. I didn't want to go anywhere else. I didn't want to go back to the NRL. I want to finish my career at Bradford so I'm pretty rapt to be part of the club for another two years."

Bulls Chairman Chris Caisley is delighted the popular player has decided to stay with the club:

"We've certainly had value for money out of him. He came over with a big name and the one thing he has always done is make a massive contribution towards getting us to Grand Finals and winning them. In the last Grand Final he was tremendous. He usually comes very strong towards the end of the season and that has been a great bonus for us over the last couple of years. Hopefully he can do it again this year. He is one of the most well-liked people in the club and nobody ever has a bad word to say about him. He has been terrific for us both on and off the field and I am glad that we have got him for another couple of years."
