Vagana signs three year deal with
Sharks

Bulldogs centre Nigel Vagana has signed a three-year deal with the Cronulla Sharks, ending weeks of speculation about his playing future and breaking the hearts of Bulldogs fans in the process.

Vagana?s departure from the Bulldogs leaves the club with some massive problems heading into season 2004. Willie Talau, Travis Norton, Glen Hall, Todd Polglase and Shane Marteene have also left the club for greener pastures while there is a strong rumour rookie Roy Asotasi is set to join the Tigers on a long term deal.

Last year?s salary cap drama has bitten the Bulldogs much harder than anyone expected and the club must now look to their depleted ranks to field a competitive side for 2004.

The Sharks have so far signed Andrew Lomu and Nigel Vagana and with money still in the bank, the spending spree is not over yet.
