VB NSW CUP MATCH PREVIEWS - ROUND SEVENTEEN

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Vs Newtown Jets

Lidcombe Oval, Saturday, June 23
Kick-off: 3.00pm
Referee: Matt Noyen

Summary: Two sides looking to entrench themselves in the top four face off here, as the third placed Bulldogs play a home game at Lidcombe Oval against the fourth placed Jets. The Bulldogs have now registered back to back wins following a 20-18 loss to Mounties in round 14 while the Jets are coming off back to back losses to the Wolves and the Sharks respectively.

In team news, it emerged during the week that the Jets inspirational leader in Khalid Deeb has played his last football for the year after suffering a season ending knee injury. This now puts a lot of pressure on their young forwards in Isaac Liu and Dylan Napa.

The Dogs side continues to have its depth tested also, with regulars like Jackson, Finucane and Taupau all named on a six man extended bench for the Dogs NRL side
