Vikings name new sponsor

Widnes Vikings have announced an improved five figure sponsorship from local water company Alder Spring.

Alder Spring joined forces with the Vikings last season to become official water suppliers and sponsors of Vikings in the Community.

And following a superb growth in its business the Cronton-based company has decided to increase its deal, remaining as official water supplier but also seeing the company name emblazoned on the players? shorts.

Alder Spring has also sponsored the club?s recently launched bus advertising campaign.

"We are very pleased to be for the second year running the official water suppliers and now sponsors of the Widnes Vikings," said Sharon Morphett of Alder Spring.

"We hope this will not be our last as our company expands we hope to extend our support even further to the Vikings and the community.

"We wish them every success for the coming season, and would like to take this opportunity to thank them for all their support."

Widnes Vikings media manager Andrew Kirchin said: "Our players find it a huge benefit to be able to collect free water thanks to Alder Spring and we are pleased that the company is doing well enough to expand its support.

"It was great to be able to get involved with a local company during its infancy and I can only see the relationship increasing in the future."
