The 2004 Powergen Challenge Cup Final will be held at The Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, on Saturday 15 May, returning to Wales following the success of this year's event. The showpiece game was held in Wales for the first time when Bradford Bulls met Leeds Rhinos a month ago, and was seen as a resounding success.
The Bulls won 22-20 in an exciting game under the shut roof at the state-of-the-art venue in front of 71,212 supporters.
The Rugby Football League have now confirmed that the stadium will host next year's Challenge Cup Final, which will be held slightly later in the calendar.
Since leaving Wembley following the 1999 Final, Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium and Twickenham in London have also staged the games.
"Everybody connected with the game was delighted by the way in which the 2003 Final was staged by the stadium and the welcome afforded to our fans by the Welsh people," said RFL executive chairman Richard Lewis.
