Walker to halfback for Rabbitohs

Shane Walker has become the fourth South Sydney halfback in as many weeks after being named in the number seven jersey for Sunday's National Rugby League game against Melbourne.

Walker has started every game this season for Souths at hooker but coach Paul Langmack has been forced to move the former Brisbane Bronco to the scrumbase due to injuries to Brett Kearney and Willie Peters.

Veteran Jason Death takes over the hooking duties, while Langmack has also named winger Wise Kativerata and prop Paul Stringer after they were late withdrawals from last weekend's match against Parramatta.
