Having been granted a new visa and returned to the UK today, Wigan Warriors confirm the signing of former Hull FC Prop, Epalahame Lauaki, on a Three-Year Contract for the 2012, 2013 and 2014 seasons with a further Wigan option for 2015.

Lauaki is a tough, no-nonsense forward who joins the Warriors after two seasons with the Airlie Birds, where he made 54 appearances scoring five tries. He is also a Tongan International who played in the 2008 World Cup for his country.

Wigan Chairman, Ian Lenagan commented:

"Shaun Wane asked specifically that Wigan sign Lauaki because he believes the Player has significant under-used potential which Shaun could develop and that he would add a hard edge, with Gareth Hock, to an already-talented Wigan pack."

"His signing takes the Wigan complement of overseas players back to 4, replacing Ryan Hoffman. "
