Warriors Stick to Winning Formula

Warriors' Head Coach, Daniel Anderson, has made only one change to the squad that beat the Manly Sea Eagles 28-10 in last week's match at Brookvale Oval.

This change has been brought about by an injury to number six, Jerome Ropati. A knock to the face early in the Manly game forced him to leave the field. Subsequent x-rays have shown that Ropati has a fractured jaw and it is expected that he will be out for ten weeks. Ropati's place in the starting line-up has been taken by Thomas Leuluai.

Coach Anderson is hoping for a much improved performance at home against the Knights when compared to their two outings thus far at Ericsson in 2004.

"Both myself and the players as a whole have been extremely disappointed at the standard of football that we have served up to our fans at home this season. We all believe we can remedy this situation if we replicate the attitude and the effort that we put into our game against the Sea Eagles last weekend," Anderson said.

The team for Saturday's game against the Knights, with kick-off at 7:30pm at Ericsson Stadium is:

1. Brent Webb 2. Henry Fa'afili 3. Clinton Toopi 4. Tony Martin 5. Justin Murphy 6. Thomas Leuluai 7. Stacey Jones 8. Jerry Seuseu 9. Tevita Latu 10. Richard Villasanti 11. Ali Lauitiiti 12. Awen Guttenbeil (Captain) 13. Sione Faumuina 14. Epalahame Lauaki 15. Matt Jobson 16. Vinnie Anderson 17. Louis Anderson

Winger Francis Meli was not considered for selection this week as he is yet to fully recover from the groin strain that sidelined him for the Manly game. The injury will continue to be monitored by club medical staff.
