Warriors to host Family Fun

Wigan Warriors have announced that their upcoming game with Hull FC on Friday 6th August will be 'Family Fun Friday'.

The Warriors new game night entertainment package was unveiled for the first time in the recent match against Bradford Bulls, and another fantastic 'experience' has been planned for this top of the table clash, headlined by local Wigan singing sensation Lauren Waterworth.

Lauren was signed by music guru Pete Waterman at the age of 11 and has secured a recording contract with Zomba Records. The highlight of her career was supporting Westlife on their 2002 national tour while her first release 'Baby Now That I Found You' sold over 80,000 copies.

Her last single 'Butterfly Kisses' hit the top 20 in the charts, and of her appearance at the JJB Stadium Lauren said:

"I have supported Wigan Warriors since I can remember, and when I'm not recording in London I try to get to as many matches as possible. I am really looking forward to the game, and singing in my home town in front of a big Warriors crowd."

To support the family theme of the evening, the Warriors have also released a special family ticket offer for the East Stand providing some great savings. A family of one adult and two children will pay just ?22, while two adults and two children will pay only ?32. Other ticket combinations are also available.

Fans wanting to take advantage of this family offer must purchase their tickets before 5pm on Thursday 5th August by either visiting the JJB Stadium in person or ringing the Ticket Hotline on 0870 11 22 55 2.

Warriors Marketing Director Simon Collinson said of the event:

"Following our last entertainment extravaganza we have received some very positive feedback. Next Friday promises a mouth watering prospect on the field as the teams battle it our for a top two place, and with a package of quality entertainment offering great family value, we are expecting of another classic night at the JJB Stadium."

Wigan Warriors versus Hull takes place on Friday, 6th August, at 8.00pm at the JJB Stadium and gates open at 6.30pm.
