NEWPORT TITANS 2 BRIDGEND BLUE BULLS 48 Newport Titans controlled almost the whole of the first half in this top of the table clash against Bridgend Blue Bulls but failed to capitalise on their chances.
The Titans took a 2-0 lead in the fifth minute through a Ryan James penalty goal. Ben Morris could have added to their tally but dropped the ball as he was tackled when crossing the line.
Neil McKim was sinbinned minutes before the end of the half and Bridgend took advantage of their extra man as Jon Williams scored, converting his own try.
Holding a slender 6-2 lead at the break, it was a different matter in the second half as Bridgend ran riot.

An excellent individual try from Craig Fox followed, but as he was fouled as he crossed the line, so man of the match Jon Williams had two chances to kick at goal, scoring them both.
A try each from Lenny Woodard and Jon Williams followed before Neil Dixon completed his hat-trick with scores in the 65th and 70th minute.
Lenny Woodard completed the scoring in the last minute after a comedy moment. A Kevin Ellis field goal attempt hit the post, Woodard caught the ball and went over line to make the final score 48-2 to Bridgend.
CARDIFF DEMONS 28 ABERAVON FIGHTING IRISH 60
After a see-saw first half, Aberavon Fighting Irish scored five tries in nine second half minutes to beat Cardiff Demons 60-28 at Taff?s Well.
Cardiff took the lead in the seventh minute when Lewis Francis broke through the middle to ground under the posts.
Gareth Lewis equalised just four minutes later, running through the middle fending off tackles to score.
Mark Burke gave Aberavon the lead with a try under the posts in the 24th minute but Cardiff equalised three minutes later after Andre Boon struggled over.
Andrew Jones gave Cardiff the lead in the first set after kick-off. A Gareth Jones grubber kick was pounced on by John Byers who set up Jones to score.
But it was Aberavon who went in with a 22-18 half-time lead following a length of the field run from Richard Johnston and a Darren Ryan score after the ball was worked across the face of the posts.
The Fighting Irish added another try early in the second half after Richard Lewis scored in the corner but Demons pulled one back 15 minutes later after good work from Andy Jones set up John Byers.
Aberavon gained a two-try advantage in the 62nd minute after Scott O?Kelly was set up by Sean O?Brien.
They added another three in the next five minutes to vanquish any hopes of a Demons comeback. Gareth Lewis broke through the defence for his second, O?Kelly added another before Lewis completed his hat-trick to give them a 30-point lead.
Dennis Pugh extended the lead on 71 minutes with a try in the corner before Sean O?Brien put 60 points on the board for the visitors in the 79th minute. But it was the Demons who had the final say with a breakaway try from Andy Jones.
Torfaen v Swansea was postponed.
