Reports are through from the local Welsh rugby league competition.

NEWPORT TITANS 2 BRIDGEND BLUE BULLS 48 Newport Titans controlled almost the whole of the first half in this top of the table clash against Bridgend Blue Bulls but failed to capitalise on their chances.

The Titans took a 2-0 lead in the fifth minute through a Ryan James penalty goal. Ben Morris could have added to their tally but dropped the ball as he was tackled when crossing the line.

Neil McKim was sinbinned minutes before the end of the half and Bridgend took advantage of their extra man as Jon Williams scored, converting his own try.

Holding a slender 6-2 lead at the break, it was a different matter in the second half as Bridgend ran riot.

Straight from start, Neil Dixon went over after a Carle Ellis break

An excellent individual try from Craig Fox followed, but as he was fouled as he crossed the line, so man of the match Jon Williams had two chances to kick at goal, scoring them both.

A try each from Lenny Woodard and Jon Williams followed before Neil Dixon completed his hat-trick with scores in the 65th and 70th minute.

Lenny Woodard completed the scoring in the last minute after a comedy moment. A Kevin Ellis field goal attempt hit the post, Woodard caught the ball and went over line to make the final score 48-2 to Bridgend.
