The Wigan club has confirmed the signing of Aussie Prop Forward Luke Davico.
Luke a 31 year old, 6ft 1, 105kg Prop Forward from Canberra Raiders has agreed a two year deal for 2005 -2006.
Commenting on the signing Chairman Maurice Lindsay said,
"Following the loss of Quentin Pongia and the possible loss of other forwards at the end of the season we wanted to strengthen our squad. We will continue to recruit to ensure we remain competitive next season."
Acting Coach Denis Betts said,
"We have long admired Luke who is a hard working go forward prop with good skills and he will add a lot to the team."
Speaking from Canberra, Luke Davico said,
"I know Wigan is a great club and David Furner told me how much he enjoyed his stint with the Warriors. My family are looking forward to living in England and I can't wait to join up with the lads at Wigan."
