Wildcats Too Good for Rovers

ESL side Wakefield Wildcats overpowered National One derby rivals Featherstone Rovers 34-14 in a heated friendly on Sunday. Featherstone's Jim Carlton was given his marching orders after a 50th-minute flare-up with Michael Korkidas, who was sin-binned.

Korkidas scored one of Wakefield's six tries, the others coming from David Wrench, Ben Jeffries, Sid Domic, Paul Handforth and Semi Tadulala.

Featherstone's three tries came from Matty Wray, Jamie Coventry and Wayne Sutcliffe.

Handforth added six points with the boot for Wakefield, with Liam Finn kicking four points.

Carl Briggs kicked two points for Rovers.
