Following last week's 30-minute blitz of St George Illawarra, Bulldogs superstar Sonny-Bill Williams was carried off the field with ankle and knee injuries sustained in a tackle involving Dragons centre Matt Cooper. The more serious of the injuries was the knee - thought to be a partially torn medial ligament, and although it was considered minor, it was enough to keep him off the field for the rest of the game.
The good news for Doggies fans is that whilst Williams has had most of the week off, yesterday he trained strongly and will take his place in the line-up against the Cowboys tonight.
It promises to be an exciting match that will see both sides face-off for the first time since the Cowboy's remarkable surge in last year's semi-finals, where they crashed through the Bulldogs in the first game, before taking down Brisbane and failing narrowly to eventual runners-up the Roosters.
