Willie free to negotiate

Bulldogs superstar Willie Masson has been given permission to negotiate with any other interested clubs in either the NRL or the engage Super league.

Bulldogs chairman George Peponis spoke to the media following a two hour meeting at the club involving board members and players.

The club did stress that they will give Mason every chance to defend his position with the club, before any further decision is made on his future.

No less than 12 players from the club fronted the board today to offer their support for the International forward.

Mason will be called before the board next week to answer various charges.

Clubs circling Mason are velived to be Sydney Roosters, Cronulla Sharks and St George Illawarra Dragons.
